Blues Historian: Rod "Beachhead" Jeffery RIP

Rod was a friend of Michal Flisiuk; both passionate about music, even though Michal had not performed. Michal Flisiuk was an erudite and an expert in most everything, and music had its equal, lifetime place in his studies. There is no music critic more competent in history of blues and jazz, and the music itself. While in Poland he had a collection of vinyl records, tapes, books, which amounted to space taking, and appeared like we had a music studio. Michal played musical instruments too. That's how New Orleans got incorporated into his life. Michal had more than common interest with Rod. Rod joined Michal's social network dedicated to our murdered daughter: Blanka Teresa Flisiuk Peridot. Now his page is the tribute for him. Rod was shocked by Michal's death. Ironically, I cannot access [sic] my page, where inbox I have Rod's e-mail address, so I could not reach his family and friends. Rod lived in Australia, but in our network contacts he presented his suffering with the dignity. I am sure that his extended family of friends, all love him and miss.
May He Rest in Peace.

Mother, If You Could See Me Now
Mother,
If You could see me now
Could You figure out how
My smile, my shape, my gait, my brow
Have all gone down
Did they drown?
Am I unhappy?
Or was I once
Experiencing an ounce
Of what they call
Gladness, joy, happiness, escape
These feelings I cannot drape
Over my shoulders
Like a gilded cape
Am I the image that life raped?
Am I the one left all alone?
Heart torn up, mouth agape
And if they get me
(Already did)
Can I escape
Can I get rid
Of them around me
The [...] inside me
Mother,
If you have to
Will you hide me?
Should you, though
I know I can’t
She shall walk in her own damned cant
Should I treasure, hide and gleam
Or teach and push and squeal and steam
Am I the mother or the daughter?
What lessons learned from
One or other?
Can I be one and not another?
